FYS 1136 Russia Yesterday and Today (Zejmis): Find Books

This guide will help you with your research for Professor Zejmis' FYS class

How to Find Books

A good place to begin your research is by searching the library catalog for books.  In the catalog you will also find CDs and DVD's.

Search the Online Catalog

Suggested Searches:

Type Russia as the word to search for and change "Search by:" to Subject Use "Go" to run search for Hoover Titles Only and get many search results. Use the list on the left to narrow your search to specific topics

Or select the "Browse" option and choose "Subject" instead of "title" then type in one or more key terms such as Russia to browse topics that contain information about Russia.

Find Books on the Shelf:

You can find the books you are looking for by locating the tag on the end of each book shelf that indicates the number range of the books on that shelf. So, if you are looking for books on american history, for instance, just find the book shelf that contains books in the 970s.

As always, if you are having trouble finding information or you want more guidance, just ask a librarian!
