Google Scholar: Accessing Articles from Google Scholar

Direct Access

If you have selected McDaniel as your Library Link (see "Google Scholar Preferences" for instructions) you will be able to access our online subscriptions. After searching, look for the "Full-text @ Your Library" link in the right-hand column:

This link is only displayed for articles available through our online subscriptions.

You may also see other links in the right-hand column. Many of these links provide access through open-access or free online sources.

Checking for Access

When you find an article that does not have links in the right-hand column we don't have online access to this article. We may subscribe to the journal in print, or you may need to request the article through Interlibrary Loan. To check our access, click on the "more" link (double-arrow icon) below the article record...

...then click on the "Check Library Holdings" link.

If we have access to this article in print, the catalog record for the journal will display. If not, you will be directed to request the article from Interlibrary Loan.
