Hoover Library liaisons are librarians designated as the primary contact person between the library and a particular academic unit or disciplinary area. In keeping with the library’s mission, the primary responsibility of a liaison is to meet the unit’s information needs through information literacy instruction, collection development consultation, research assistance to faculty and students (including the development and maintenance of subject research guides), and the fulfillment of other needs related to the library such as support for accreditation or program reviews and new program proposals. Some departments also assign a faculty selector to aid in collection development, these are listed in the tables below.
