*Theatre Arts: Finding Scripts
This guide serves as a good starting point for conducting research in theatre arts.
Not all of the plays that are currently in publication are available online. If you don't find the title you're seeking in a database, be sure to search the library catalog for a physical copy. You can also request a copy of your desired play via Interlibrary Loan using your McDaniel username and password.
Project Gutenburg supports a collection of thousands of complete texts published before 1923, including hundreds of plays. These works fall within public domain and are therefore free and available to the public within the United States.
In the McDaniel Catalog, enter the title of your play in the Keyword search box in quotes, for example: "death of a salesman" or "miss julie." The search will locate the plays in the form of books or eBooks containing a single play or collections of scripts. These items are available to you in our collection.
