Sometimes you need a book or article that isn't owned by the library. Please do NOT pay an online service for these items.

Whether you found the reference in one of our databases or on Google Scholar, we can probably get the item for you, free of charge. Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is a service provided by the library where we will try to locate and order your materials for you. 

Here are some things to know about ILL:

• Normal turnaround time: Books - two weeks; articles - one week 
• Request early in the semester for best results. Peak periods result in backlogs, which cause delays.
• We will order any material you request for your research, however, most libraries won’t lend audio-visual materials, dissertations, reserve items, or reference materials.
• You may request a book that is checked out, lost, or on reserve.

You can request articles and books through the Illiad system.
