Human Library: Day of Event Info

In accordance with McDaniel College's Campus Photography & Videography Policy, "No Photo" nametags will be available for any event attendee to wear if they wish to not be featured in photos and videos taken during the event. Human Books have the option to opt out when they complete their Volunteer/Nomination Form, during their screening interview, or during any other point in the lead-up to or during the event. To protect their safety and privacy, our human Books' names, photos, etc. will not be used in any promotional materials unless they have given their permission.

Directions to McDaniel College

Follow this Google Maps link to see directions from Eldersburg to the visitor parking lot nearest the Roj Student Center on the McDaniel College campus. Change the starting location to personalize your Map.

From Pennsylvania Ave., turn left onto College Ave. (opposite of Hersh Ave.). Go up the hill and turn left into the Visitors Parking. If you come to the end of the road and Gill Stadium, you've gone too far.

Directions to Big Baker Chapel (from Visitor Parking Lot)

• Enter through the white side door on the Rouzer building. This door does have a handicap push button door opener.
• Follow the arrows through the door on the far left and all the way down the hallway.
• Go past the Office of Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Office, the Englar Dining Hall, and the Campus Store until you find the stairs or elevator that will take you to the mid-level.
• Exit through the main entrance/exit and follow the path straight down the quad- the chapel will be on the right past Hoover Library. There is a fountain in front.

Directions to Big Baker Chapel (from the traffic circle near Main Street)

• Follow the pathway past the Lewis Recitation Hall and McDaniel Hall.
• Veer left on the path when you can and continue until you see a small fountain.
• Big Baker will be on your left, directly next to the fountain.

Please park in the Visitor Parking Lot outside of Rouzer.

Access this parking lot from College Ave. If you come to the end of this road and Gill Stadium, you've gone too far.

You can also park in lots reserved for Faculty & Staff during the time the Human Library event is taking place.

Handicap Parking Spot Locations:

• Two spots by the Roj Student Center main entrance. Near the Conference & Auxiliary Services building.
• 3 spots past the Visitor Parking lot by Rouzer. Go past the main entrance of Rouzer and the area with outdoor tables and chairs.
